Gro Company Gro Clock - Kiddicare Wednesday, May 18, 2011

Anyone who has been woken up at 5am with their kids thinking its morning will know where were coming from with the Gro-clock! For children who are too young to read an ordinary clock, the Gro-clock uses the sun and moon to explain the difference between night and day. The changing images encourage children to stay in bed longer as they learn to Stay in bed until you see the sun. The Gro-Clock includes a sleepy farm story book, beautifully illustrated by leading childrens artist Mike Terry. Sleepy Farm tells the tale of a very tired pig. The book helps reinforce the message of the importance of a good nights sleep.

A TripAdvisor™ TripWow slideshow of a travel blog to Fes, Morocco by TravelPod blogger Mys titled "Fes". TravelPod is a company of TripAdvisor™. Mys's travel blog entry: "At about 9 o'clock we awake to the brand new and unfortunately the last day here. We do some repacking in order to meet the 15kg baggage limit of Ryanair and the hotel room is empty again. Today we start the morning by exploring the vicinity of Royal Palace on SW of Fes el Bali. The palace itself is closed to public, but has a fabulous main gate near Place des Alaouites. In order to get as far as that, one has to pass a five-gate square of Petit Mechouar and then take some more streets, which are nice to stroll in as well. The first part of the main street there serves as a textile souk, while the latter leading through mellah (jewish quarter) is filled with jewelries. After taking a photo with a policeman, having some relaxing moments in a park and strolling some more off the beaten path streets we head back to follow the marked paths in the medina. Next stop is called Medersa of Bou Inania [10dh, sometimes closed due to prayers]. Although similar to previous ones, it's really worth seeing. This time, the central pool is of circle shape. Unfortunately, student's chambers are off limits for tourists. We still have some 2.5 hours before we have to leave the city, so let's do a free-stroll programme;). One of our random targets is Fondouk Nejjarine, a wood museum [not really worth seeing] with a nice view ...

Never Let You Go (A Justin Bieber Love Story) Episode 51 Monday, May 9, 2011

Episode 51!! What does Marissa mean when she says 'except this time..'? Find out now: ~~~ (Marissa's POV) Justin leaned in and kissed me, except this time, it was more forceful and passionate than all the other kisses we ever had. I grabbed on to his face and deepened the kiss. He ran his fingers through my hair and made the kiss even sweeter. He rolled over so that he was on top of me, but I didn't feel his weight. We both added a little tongue too. We kept going on like that for about 5 minutes, then to make things even sexier, Justin took his shirt off Me: *breaks the kiss* you have a nice body, Bieber Justin: *laughs* thanks Me: but why did you take off your shirt all of a sudden? Justin: I can't go to sleep with my shirt on *smiles then grabs me and starts kissing me like before* After a few minutes, I rolled on top of Justin and sat on top of him Justin: *breaks the kiss* I like this position *winks then does a sexy smile* Me: *giggles* So do I, the nurse was right, we are naughty children Justin: *laughs* we sure are Then I leaned back down and started making out with him again. He grabbed my face and deepened it. I thought about it: Pattie was fast asleep in her room down the hall, and she isn't waking up for a while. Me and Justin were all alone in his room, and I could tell that he wanted to. I decided, why not? I mean we're in love, and that's what people do when they're in love, right? I made the first move. Without breaking the kiss, I slowly traced my ...

Pastor above, beyond raising for kids Friday, May 6, 2011

Bethany Assembly of God Pastor Chris Clinchard in Adrian, Mich., is going above and beyond to raise money for kids, literally. He's living on a 30-foot lift for five days and five nights with just some basics - a sleeping bag, portable toilet, his laptop, and a Bible. Pastor Clinchard is hoping to raise $30000 through business sponsorships, money raised by the children and drive-by donations. Th fundraising will go to support kids ministries worldwide. "It's an out of the ordinary event," said Amy Roberts. "It draws a lot of attention, not only to our church but to the cause and it causes people to stop and take notice and donate money." Pastor Clinchard will continue to live on the lift off of Treat Highway and US 223 until 5 pm Friday, Aug. 26.

Bears, Humans Encroaching Thursday, May 5, 2011

Here are some suggestions about safely coexisting with bears: If you live or camp in bear country: * Keep garbage in airtight containers inside your garage or storage area. Place garbage outside in the morning just before pickup, not the night before. Occasionally clean cans with ammonia or bleach. * Remove bird feeders. Bears see them as sweet treats, and often they will look for other food sources nearby. * Never put meat or sweet-smelling food scraps such as melon in your compost pile. * Don't leave pet food or food dishes outdoors at night. * Clean and store outdoor grills after use. Bears can smell sweet barbecue sauce and grease for miles. * Never intentionally feed bears to attract them for viewing. If you intentionally or unintentionally feed a bear and the bear becomes a nuisance, you could be cited and fined up to $500 -- and the bear eventually may have to be killed. * Keep your camp clean, and store food and garbage properly at all times. Use bear-proof containers when available. If not, suspend food, coolers and garbage from a tree at least 10 feet off the ground and 4 feet out from the tree trunk. * Keep your tent and sleeping bag free of all food smells. Store the clothes you wore while cooking or eating with your food. * Sleep a good distance from your cooking area or food storage site. * Store toiletries with your food. If you see a bear: * Stop, and back away slowly while facing the bear. Avoid direct eye contact, as the bear may consider that a threat ...

Irish Blessings Sunday, May 1, 2011

Dancing, bag pipes, laughter, corn beef and cabbage, family, fun, Blessings and the color green only scratch the surface of what St. Patricks Day is. This day is one of those significant days that will be considered as a marker for a drastic change in direction. My father kidnapped my siblings and I at age seven. Moved us away from our mother and we lost all contact with her for awhile. It was a life of fear and overwhelming pain for me. I was raised as a Seventh Day Adventist and even so I can conclude even with little memories of my child hood how very confusing it would be for a child to hear the bible teacher quote scriptures like Hebrews 13:6, God himself has said, I will not fail you or desert you, and so we can say with confidence; With the Lord to help me, I fear nothing; What can man do to me? How confusing it must have been for a little girl whose father would enter her bedroom at anytime in the night. He can touch me and fondle me as I lay there pretending to be sleeping. My relationship with Jesus seemed to only be possible if I were to be a good girl and follow all the rules. My relationship with my father seemed only possible if I were a good girl and went along with his advances. Yet my father beat me with the law and rules, my religion pulverized me with condemnation and shame and Jesus seemed deafly silent. All seemed to position me into compliance. But I refused to comply with fathers advances and the unfair division of labor was my punishment for ...

Katrinaoliver's travel blog entry: "On Monday we left Delhi in the early morning for a train ride to Agra. This was the first time we had actually had to put our backpacks on and carry them anywhere ourselves! I fell backwards when I first put mine on! We departed from a different station to what we had been through before but the system was the same. We travelled in the Chair Car on the Taj Mahal Express and whilst it wasn't anywhere near as good as the Shatabdi Express to Amritsar it was fine. That said I did hear an Argentian lady proclaiming that she had just seen a mouse after which none of her Brazilian companions would put their feet down! Me neither! The journey was just over 3 hours and passed quickly. When we arrived in Agra two jeeps picked us up and transfered us to the hotel. We were just 200m from the Taj Mahal with a stunning rooftop view. The rest of the day was a little repetitive for us as it was a return visit to Agra Fort and then the Taj Mahal. It was actually quite good to revisit these two major attractions as we were able to relax a bit more. We also visited a rug making factory and whilst the work was astounding it wasn't really to our taste! We chose to visit the Taj at sunset having been for sunrise last time. It was lovely to see it in the different light and ...

Even though I've known about this trip for over three years, I've only really started planning and preparing for it in the last few weeks. I booked my airfare at the end of July and have been on a spending spree ever since. New clothes, backpack, sleeping bag, hiking boots and a bunch of other gear that will hopefully make my life easier over the next six months. Sometime back around the middle of August I sent an email to friends telling them that I planned on going for a hike every weekend until I left. Well things got a little hectic and I've only managed one hike so far. My boots weren't extremely comfortable but they're ging to need a little break-in time so I'm hopeful. I think I'll get one more day hike done before I leave and will have a bette ridea how the boots will fair. They're Zamberlan Trek Lite 2.. if you have a pair, let me know how they've worked out for you. I've uploaded a few pics from my hike here in Manitoba so that other travelers can see a bit of where I come from and to see how this site works. The hike was a 10km out and back that starts in the old town of Senkiw near Roseau River. Nothing rugged or challenging but it was a beautiful day and an enjoyable hike. We were ready to go and in a cab by 4:35. We had to assure the driver that we would pay the 45 bhat (less than $2) for the toll and agreed to pay by the meter (it came to 230 bhat or $10). We checked in with Air Asia and shared a bagel with bacon, egg and cheese. We were able to jump on the internet for 10 mins on the 2nd floor at CAT. After we checked in we boarded a bus that took us to our plane. Bill and I both had window seats, so we had a nice view of the city as we departed. We were even able to pick out our favourite park - Pee Pee Park, from the sky. Shortly thereafter, we were able to see some mountains and then I took a nap. The flight should have been less than an hour, but due to fog, we circled for more than an hour. I was awakened when we were hundreds of meters from the ground and our pilot pulled up and circled one more time. I was awake after that! We finally landed, an hour or more, late. It is going to be between 32 and 37 degrees and sunny in Yangon all week. It does cool down at night into the 20's, so that is good. I am SMELLY!!! We camped every night in the mountains- so that meant no showers... and the long hikes meant sweaty and stinky bodies!!! One person in our group took a quick rinse in one of the ice cold rivers, I couldn't believe it because the water was sooooo cold. I opted to stay nice and dry but stinky, as did the others in our group! I still think I made the right choice, although the person sitting next to me on the return bus ride may not have agreed. Every morning we had to start trekking by 8am which meant that we had to get up by 7am... which doesn't seem like it should be a problem- but when we were camping above 4000 meters that means it is mighty cold once the sun goes down in the evening- and trying to get out of a warm and toasty sleeping bag when it is icy cold outside is TOUGH!!! I had never felt more like a snug, bug in a rug in all of my life. The worst thing was putting on FREEZING clothes... I would hop around like a crazy person until my body temperature warmed up what I was wearing. I "wised" up the second night and placed my clothes for the following morning inside my sleeping bag to keep warm... it helped... a tiny bit! The trail we followed ...

"Stuck on Fansipan without a rain jacket" Filly's photos around Sapa, Vietnam Tuesday, April 19, 2011

A TripAdvisor™ TripWow slideshow of a travel blog to Sapa, Vietnam by TravelPod blogger Filly titled "Stuck on Fansipan without a rain jacket" Filly's travel blog entry: "Took a night train to Sapa from Hanoi with two German guys I met on my Halong Bay tour. All I had in mind was a small bit a trekking to some villages with a home stay. However I was tempted by the Fansipan mountain climb when the boys decided to do it. It meant staying an extra night but I figured I'd make up the time elsewhere. Sapa is a town in northern Vietnam only 30km from the Chinese border. There is still a lot of ethnic minority communities living there including the the Hmung, Black Mung and Dao tribes. It is a mountainous region and the area is famous for its terraced rice fields. They are quite a striking sight but unfortunately when I was there, there wasn't much visability due to the poor weather. Farming is tough here and very manual, apparantly the men and women carry up to 50kg of rice on their back during harvest up and down the terraces. The Black Mung community have taken to selling there crafts on the streets of Sapa. The young women follow tourists around for hours (in a friendly way) but eventually enfource the hard sell. They are very friendly and speak suprisingly good english but I found it a little off putting. It makes tourism in the area seem a bit sleezy. Apparantly there is free schooling for the mung children but most of the girls are sent to sell on the street instead ...

Disaster Supplies Kit Monday, April 18, 2011

savant7.com FEMA video on how to stock a disaster supply kit. Be prepared in case of emergency. You may need to survive on your own after a disaster. This means having your own food, water, and other supplies in sufficient quantity to last for at least three days. Local officials and relief workers will be on the scene after a disaster, but they cannot reach everyone immediately. You could get help in hours, or it might take days. Basic services such as electricity, gas, water, sewage treatment, and telephones may be cut off for days, or even a week or longer. Or, you may have to evacuate at a moments notice and take essentials with you. You probably will not have the opportunity to shop or search for the supplies you need. A disaster supplies kit is a collection of basic items that members of a household may need in the event of a disaster. The following items are recommended for inclusion in your basic disaster supplies kit: * Three-day supply of non-perishable food. * Three-day supply of water - one gallon of water per person, per day. * Portable, battery-powered radio or television and extra batteries. * Flashlight and extra batteries. * First aid kit and manual. * Sanitation and hygiene items (moist towelettes and toilet paper). * Matches and waterproof container. * Whistle. * Extra clothing. * Kitchen accessories and cooking utensils, including a can opener. * Photocopies of credit and identification cards. * Cash and coins. * Special needs items, such as ...

After 15-20 second full concentration on the screen and searching for non-existent differences:) suddenly horrific monster will appear with an appropriate soundtrack. Of course for maximum effect all should take place in a calm atmosphere with the maximum increased volume on device.Don't experiment on dogs and children (actually we have ignored this rule:) ) Enjoy a frightened look of "objects" of your experiments and measure their level of fear! Also there is an opportunity to share their success on Twitter and Facebook.

POLITICS INFOCUS Homeless not hopeless + Suicide or murder? Thursday, April 14, 2011

Homelessness is reaching further into the nation's suburban heartland, with emergency accommodation services reporting unprecedented demand from everyday families unable to pay mortgages and rent. The need for beds is so great that some welfare groups are giving away sleeping bags. In the NSW city of Newcastle, three destitute families have pitched tents in friends' backyards, and a mother and her two children were reportedly living under canvas in a park. Hostel and emergency shelter providers routinely turn away people seeking help due to a lack of facilities. At Newcastle's Wesley City Mission, client services manager Tony Scully is handing out three sleeping bags a week because he cannot place any more people in its 94 bed-sitter style units. The waiting list stretches to at least three months. Increasingly, the calls for help are coming from what Mr Scully calls "everyday families". In most cases, they had been unable to pay the mortgage or rent, and had nowhere else to go. Last week it was a couple and their four children, who had been living in a car after the father lost his job, fell behind with home repayments and the bank foreclosed. "People who have been working, driving a car and doing pretty well for themselves are now knocking on our door," Mr Scully said. He is still trying to trace the homeless woman he heard about last week, who had pitched a tent in a park in nearby Lake Macquarie with her two young children. Mr Scully said three other families were ...

Big Hug - Sensory Therapy, Deep Pressure Positioning Aid Tuesday, April 12, 2011

This is an informative video on the Big Hug which is a sensory therapy, deep pressure positioning aid. The Big Hug was ergonomically designed to comfort, calm and redirect the energy of children and adults living with Autism or who are Cognitively Disabled and would benefit from deep pressure therapy. The Big Hug has been found to be effective because it allows the caregiver to simultaneously apply different amounts of soft, wrap- around pressure to six separate areas of the body. The caregiver or user is then able to release the Big Hug's wraps after the desired amount of individualized sensory needs are obtained. View the complete, fifteen minute video on our website - www.consumercarellc.com.

A TripAdvisor™ TripWow slideshow of a travel blog to Xela, Guatemala by TravelPod blogger Sara_minx titled "Volcanoes galore in Xela and Antigua" Sara_minx's travel blog entry: "2 hours after Andy flew home, I was going off doing what I love most - climbing volcanoes! I travelled by buses to Xela & the next day started the overnight trip, camping opposite the very active Volcan Santiaguito. It was with an organisation called Quetzeltrekkers, whose profits all go to helping a street kid project, including feeding them. 5 of us & 2 volunteer guides hiked up for 6 hours, put up 2 tents & cooked dinner on little camp burners. When the clouds lifted, we could see & hear a constant stream of red hot rocks being thrown out & tumbling down the side.I slept outside all night, in my sleeping bag, despite being rather cold, so I could wake up & immediately see the cause of anything loud!!! It was a fab trip, all for only $50 about 30 pounds!) I returned to Antigua, enrolled in a Spanish school & moved in with my Guatemalan family,Graciela & her son. It was quiet, but I had nice room, with a distant view of 2 volcanoes!! At my school, my teacher was Olga,av funny & enthusiastic woman with a huge personality & big red lips to match! I really made progress, with lots of conversation practice talking about life, men & volcanoes!?! Our lessons were on the roof with an excellent view of THREE volcanoes. One night I was surprised to see a red glow from my bedroom, & in the morning we watched ...

WIDE AWAKE : The Boy Who COULDN'T SLEEP | Toddler Medical Mystery | ABC News Tuesday, April 5, 2011

A toddler who can't sleep undergoes risky, life-changing surgery. | Not long ago, saying goodnight to his mom and dad was nearly impossible for 3-year-old Rhett Lamb. In a case that baffled doctors, Rhett was awake nearly 24 hours a day. "His body would give out but his mind wouldn't; he'd still be awake," said Rhett's mom, Shannon Lamb. "He'd still be alert. It was extremely scary." One of the side effects of Rhett's lack of sleep was bad behavior. "He was in a bad mood all the time," Lamb said. "He couldn't play, he didn't interact with other children. His frustration level was so high, and it just kept getting worse and worse and worse. He couldn't communicate with anyone. It was heartbreaking." Rhett's temper got so bad he would hit his mother, even giving her black eyes. "He would hit you, he would bite you, he would head butt you and anything else around him, and you didn't know from one minute to the next what was going to happen," she said. Rhett's dad David Lamb said, "It was like he was losing his mind and there was nothing we could do to help him." The Lambs, who live in St. Petersburg, Fla., arranged opposite work shifts so one of them could stay home and take care of Rhett. "You get to the point where you can't function anymore and you can't think straight, and you get up in the morning and you take a shower to go to work and you drive to work and you're a robot," Shannon Lamb said. "You are an absolute robot. And then you dread coming home 'cause you know ...

Nor, as I write, can I believe the experience gifted to me. Words are limited to fully describe all that took place during 5 days traveling in Athos (Agion Oros). Much of what I experienced, I will keep close to my heart and soul; for these experiences were truly mine. Yet, what I do share I think you might agree was a true gift. One would have thought, especially me, that given the rare opportunity I had to enter Mt. Athos as a non-Orthodox, I would have "planned" a bit better and in some ways I thought I had but, truly it was not to be my plan that was to transpire. Only 10 non-Orthodox men per day are allowed to enter Athos and those that do must be because they provided a substantial reason six months in advance and received permission from the Pilgrims Office of Athos. Which I had done. Women are not allowed into Athos because of the story and tradition identify Athos as the Garden of the Virgin Mary. Rather than me ...

Day Six - Shrines and deer of Nara-Koen, Journey to Osaka Wednesday, March 30, 2011

Day Six was probably the most painful... actually. The most excrutiating day of my life. There were open sores on my feet from walking, on my legs from scratching, on my back from my backpack, on my neck from more scratching, on my belly from that damn massage... Anyway. The day of disaster begins. I woke up with a 65 year old woman dressed in a kimono hovering over me screaming "gomen! gomen! gomen! gomen!" whilst I was half asleep rummaging across the floor for the rest of my clothes (I spent the night in my underpants). That is how the day started. I then realized while I was frantically packing my clothes because I slept through my check-out time, that one of the maids had thrown away my bag of underwear. It did look a bit like a garbage bag, but seriously now. I also think there were a few pairs of socks in that bag. So, I'm out 5 pairs of underwear and 2 socks. I have 2 pairs of underwear left and 3 pairs of socks... but it's alright, I'm wearing flip flops. I suppose. I also have my monthly thang goin' on, and I used my pads in my shoes to make my blisters stop hurting. How ironic. I took a final walk through Kyoto, stopping at the museum to look around. It was quite boring, having had only 3 floors which were not quite filled. Even the people guarding each floor were sleeping. I stopped at a few nice artsy shops. For people who like Granville Island, you will definitely like Kyoto. It's packed with tiny shops full of fun colorful unique treasures! Most of which ...

Haiti Tribute Thursday, March 24, 2011

HAITI STILL NEEDS OUR HELP.... "Its a 4:00am on a Wednesday morning in Port-au Prince Haiti. The sky is dark. the air is cool, and the city is silent. "Leve namn mouin ak soley la..." A voice deep with passion and struggle breaks the silence. "Konmansme tach ou jodi a..." The voice is anonymous, yet distinctive, floating over the city from one makeshift sleeping bag among many others lying on the city streets. Another voice soon joins, this one broken but proud. While I cannot see her, I imagine she is crying. "Premie bagay ou gin pou fe..." Before long the entire city is singing. A choir of Gods children, praising, and praying. "Se lou Bon-Dieu ak tout Ke".... "Wake my soul with the sun, Let me start everyday, with the first thing i should do, Praise the Lord with all my heart" On Jan. 12th 2010, an earthquake of 7.6 magnitude, struck the already impoverished island country of Haiti. Leaving hundreds of thousands homeless, motherless, dead, and in desperate need of a hand.Christian Hand, a non-profit organization offered that hand, taking a group of 27 volunteers, medical professionals, and helping hands, to respond to their dire needs in the capital city of Port-au-Prince. I went with them. The entire city is homeless. The streets are lined with tents, and sheets, children, and mothers, brothers and fathers, dust and rubble. The people walk wearing masks, to supress the smell of death in the air. "When will you go back into your home" I asked Daniel, a Port-au-Prince ...

three::Joe Barr's Race Around Ireland: Tuesday = Start It Up! Wednesday, March 16, 2011

::episode three:: Westport, Co. Mayo, Tuesday, 22:25: Have been desperately trying to get some sort of video up on the channel, but it's been so full on here that the whole idea of getting anything cohesive on the video channel is close to nil. Between absent mobile signals and just the sheer madness of it all, there's been no chance to edit or update! We have left Sligo and are headed due south for Galway, Kerry, and then eastward and beyond. I'm sitting in my sleeping bag with my laptop setting my lap on fire, trying not to be thrown from my berth as this caravan rolls madly along to the next timing stop. This is exciting! Joe has been leading the pack for a while now. Now that we've made it half-way around, the strategy has been laid out. The strategy? No sleep. Joe has been on the bike for over 24 hours and he's not slept. We stopped just outside Sligo to see if he would take a nap, and the Gaffney family, whose door we parked outside, offered him their shower. He washed up, ate, and we're on the road again! Joe Barr is riding the Race Around Ireland to raise badly needed funds for the Northern Ireland Cancer Fund for Children. Please help Joe raise £100000 by donating just what you can, even £1, and sharing the link with your friends. justgiving.com/joebarr-racearoundireland/

"Chimneys on the moon" O_thou_bandit's photos around Göreme, Turkey Monday, March 14, 2011

A TripAdvisor™ TripWow slideshow of a travel blog to Göreme, Turkey by TravelPod blogger O_thou_bandit titled "Chimneys on the moon" O_thou_bandit's travel blog entry: "What may stand out most vividly in my memory of the first Star Wars film is the group of devilish, cloaked jawas wearing dollar-store flashlights for eyes. Who knew that their surreal moon-caves were nestled dreamily in the vast lunar-landscape of Cappadocia, a desert region in central Turkey? An even lesser known fact about Göreme, the main tourist hub, is that for years it has been home to 200 foreign wives - all hostel or restaurant owners - married to Turkish men. In just the next village over, Uchisar, the case is the same; exept the wives are strictly French. In some years to come I foresee an overpopulation of Turkish babies with gnarly Australian accents. But enough anecdotes. Truth is I wasn't laughing when we pulled into Göreme in the morning, sick as a skunk after a long and uncomfortable overnight bus trip from Antalya. At around 3 in the morning the bus stopped at a roadside restaurant. I was feeling ill and delusional and surrounded by people selling bizarre ceramic ornaments: witches with dragons coming out of their bellies and weird dream-catchers with sickly teddy bear heads glued on. It made my stomach churn. I whispered to Beth, "Where the heck are we, and why must we be looking at this right now?" The memory of it still makes no sense to me. There seems to be a series of locations like ...

"Day 38 - Exploring Sydney" Caro86's photos around Sydney, Australia Monday, March 7, 2011

A TripAdvisor™ TripWow slideshow of a travel blog to Sydney, Australia by TravelPod blogger Caro86 titled "Day 38 - Exploring Sydney" Caro86's travel blog entry: "Dear friends, I am sure you will be delighted to hear that I survived the cold night under 3 layers of clothes, my polar sleeping bag and 2 blankets. =) But luckily in the morning the sun returned to earth (like it usually does) and temperatures were back to a comfortable level. I took the CityRail to Central Station and started exploring Sydney from there. First, I walked down to Hyde Park, where after looking at the slightly strange but beautiful Anzac Memorial, I continued via the Australian Museum and St Mary's Cathedral. Due to time restrictions, as I only had one day in the city, I only took a brief visit to both of them. Well, that is if you can call using the bathrooms at the Australian Museum a visit at all... As I was walking through Hyde Park, watching a group of lads playing football in front of the cathedral, I had an encounter with God. Or at least one of his prime messengers. His earthly name was Yogi Baba and he was from Shrinagar, India. Obviously free of charge, he offered to read my palm and tell me the name of my mother. Keen to see his tricks, I sat down on a park bench with him and the fun started. He asked for all sorts of details like my lucky flower, age and how many brothers and sisters I had. Then of course he told me all the kind of stuff everyone likes to hear, that I was going to ...

Broad Ripple is Burning- Margot and the Nuclear So and So's Cover Wednesday, March 2, 2011

since I live 4 minutes away from Fountain Square, I always get really excited when I hear it in this song. Plus, Broad Ripple is a cool place. More importantly, Margot is amazing. Children, Broadripple is burning, And the girls are getting sick Off huffing glue up in the bathroom While your boyfriends pick up chicks. And darling I'm lost. I heard you whisper That night in fountain square. The trash filled streets Made me wish we were headed home. There was love inside the basement, Where that woman used to lie In a sleeping bag we shared Upon the floor almost every night. And darling I'm drunk. Everything that I have loved is turned to stone. So pack your bag and come back home. And I'm wasted. You can taste it. Don't look at me that way. 'cause I've been hanging from a rope. I will haunt you like a ghost. If my woman was a fire, She'd burn out before I wake. And be replaced by pints of whiskey, Cigarettes, and outer space. If somebody moves, Everything you thought you had Will go to shit. We've got a lot. Don't ever forget that. And I wrote this on an airplane, Where the people looked like eggs. And when a woman that you love is gone, She was bombing east Japan. And don't f**king move. Because everything you thought You have will go to shit. We've got a lot. Don't you dare forget that. And I'm wasted. You can taste it. Don't look at me that way. 'cause I'll be hanging from a rope. I will haunt you like a ghost.
